Mission
Starting in 2018 with a passion to improve the condition of the Daisy Dip park, Friends of Daisy Dip was formed to encourage a sense of ownership of the area within the local community.
Our mission is to develop Daisy Dip park and the surrounding areas into a clean, attractive, and practical space that the whole community can use and enjoy! Our aim is to organise activities that will engage the community and encourage a sense of ownership of our beautiful Daisy Dip. We also work closely with local schools and businesses to help us transform Daisy Dip park into a hub for community engagement.
Vision
Our initial focus will be on the following objectives:

Raising funds to replace the previously condemned play equipment with a brand-new play park. (We achieved this in early 2021!)

Implementing a community notice board so visitors of the park can see what events are taking place locally

Organise regular clean-ups to keep the park tidy

Connect with local schools and encourage environmentally-friendly practices

Host regular fun activities to encourage community engagement and fellowship
